Hi Dave, first of all thanx for the connection on flickr ;)... about all this IDII stuff, as one of the first graduates from idii, i have a lot of melanchony about it.

Not thinking about also possible fallings regarding degree's reputation and official recognition bla-bla-bla... really.
Of course it should be better if idi could 'survive', and thackara's comment about the 'merge' is a little bit 'out-of-the-chorus' in comparison to press releases ;)

But at the very end of the story what it matters is how and what individually students can gain from there (for me it was a worthy experience, both from personal and a professional sides).

We (all alumnis and 'last' students) should carefully investigate about at least the preservation of the 'memory' :( and the evidences (website, other stuff) to document and testify what
idii was during its activity...

Hi Dave, Although we just met briefly, I feel for you and admire your courage in writing these things. Maybe I don't really know what is happening there but I too feel a bit melancholy about this whole thing. Some part of me is glad that I left just in time but some part still misses Ivrea. I just wish you first years all the luck, you are a great bunch.. I'm sure you'll kick butt! :)
