Inspired by Edward Tufte's work, I redesigned the navigation interface and page layout for a customer-facing, on-line tutorial.

Design process     I defined a project scope that encompassed new navigation aids and adjustments to the page layout, with the following results:

• provided location information via text and highlighted module buttons
• increased legibility of module buttons by muting the background and putting the module icons on a white background
• increased legibility of tables through use of color and layout

I implemented all changes to the tutorial, which ranged from creating graphics to coding and debugging.

Technology     A major challenge in this project were the severe constraints imposed by the web browser that rendered the tutorial. All interface functionality was rendered through Javascript.
